Diagnosis and treatments

The old rule that “there is no good treatment without proper diagnosis” is valid in hair restoration field as well. Apart from male or female pattern hair loss, there is a variety of causes for hair loss that could be misinterpreted or neglected. Nowadays, more and more patients suffer from different forms of cicatricial and non-cicatricial alopecias where adequate medical treatment is mandatory prior or along with the decision for hair transplantation. There is a certain protocol in diagnosing hair loss that needs to be followed. Dermoscopy has become an important tool too.

Once diagnosed, a patient can successfully be treated with medications, lasers, PRP (platelet rich plasma) or simple hair loss prevention is enough. How to manage all these different treatments and how to decide on surgical on non-surgical method will be taught during our course.
