Jeffrey Epstein, M.D., FACS,
Jeffrey Epstein, M.D., FACS, Founder and Director of the Foundation for Hair Restoration and Plastic Surgery, is one of the most well respected hair transplantation surgeons in the world who has more than 21 years of experience as a hair restoration surgeon and 25 years as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Unusual in the hair transplant field as a board certified facial plastic surgeon, he is also board certified in the fields of hair restoration surgery and otolaryngology.
In addition to his busy clinical practice, where he personally performs all his procedures with his full-time team of 15 assistants, he is a Voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami and Past President of the Florida Society of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Epstein publishes and lectures extensively, is frequently featured in the media and press, and is considered a foremost expert in the field of surgical hair restoration. He also provides pro bono reconstructive surgery to children and other people of need. Dr. Epstein maintains full-time offices in Miami and New York City.
Regularly featured by the media for his expertise in the treatment of hair loss, Dr. Epstein is also considered a “doctor’s doctor”, with a large number of his patients coming from the medical field, due to amongst other things his large number of scientific publications. Furthermore, he receives consult referrals from many plastic surgery colleagues worldwide.
Dr. Gorana Kuka
Dr. Gorana Kuka is a plastic surgeon from Belgrade, Serbia where she received training under the country’s most respected specialists. She has been in private practice for 8 years since the very beginning of her career, working for Colic Hospital where she served as a chief resident.
During the first year of her residency Dr. Kuka began to perform hair transplantation, specializing in using the FUE technique. In order to learn from the best experts in this field, she traveled throughout Europe and the world – to France, Spain, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, Turkey and the United States. To date, she has also trained many young doctors that have visited her practice.
Dr. Kuka has lectured several times at national and international conferences on the subject of hair transplantation. She also performs less invasive methods of treating alopecia, including medical therapies, mesotherapy, PRP (platelet rich plasma), corticosteroid therapy, and laser light for hair loss. She was amongst the first doctors in the world who began using Neograft in 2009, which is now the most recognized tool for performing FUE graft extraction.
A member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), Dr. Kuka participated in the annual congresses that took place in Boston, Istanbul, Bahamas and San Francisco. As a lecturer on the subject of hair transplantation, she participated in the congresses of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) in New Orleans and New York City. Her particular area of interest is in regenerative medicine (PRP, stem cells) for the treatment of alopecia. She is the author of numerous papers published in international medical journals. Fluent in English, French and Spanish, Dr. Kuka was invited to work with the Miami and NYC practice of Dr. Jeffrey Epstein, helping to develop his own FUE team which now performs on average 15 hair procedures a week. Together with Dr. Epstein, Dr. Kuka is supervising several scientific studies on different treatments for hair loss, including FUE as well as regenerative therapies.
Anthony Bared, MD.
Like Dr. Epstein, Anthony Bared, MD. is a fellowship trained facial plastic surgeon and a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, combining his unique aesthetic skills with state-of-the-art techniques to assure the most natural appearing hair restorations. He has worked at the Foundation since 2013, performing the same range of procedures in hair and producing consistently excellent results. He recently was invited as a member of the exclusive International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS), which is limited to around 50 of the top hair surgeons worldwide.
A native of Miami and fully bilingual English/Spanish, Dr. Bared graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he finished amongst the top of his class and was appointed into the prestigious medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha, following which he completed a five year residency in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital where he served as chief resident. He was awarded a prestigious fellowship by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery— one of less than 40 nationwide—at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Bared has been selected to make presentations on hair procedures and techniques at several plastic surgery meetings, is co-author with Dr. Epstein on hair restoration articles, and is conducting several scientific studies, one on the benefits of laser light therapy for hair loss. He performs both FUG/strip and FUE procedures, treating men and women.
